Our History
Zone 4’s story is one of vision, resilience, and doing things right from the start. It began in 2006, when co-founders Steve Martinez and Doug Dragovich—after years in the material handling industry—recognized a gap in the installation landscape. Too often, projects stalled because installers weren’t aligned with the complexity or pace of modern distribution environments.
Determined to change that, Steve and Doug assembled a small but focused team that prioritized precision, safety, and partnership. Early on, Zone 4 earned a reputation for anticipating problems before they happened and delivering high-quality mechanical installs in high-pressure environments. The work spoke for itself, and growth followed.
By 2021, the company had evolved to meet the rising demand for full turnkey solutions. Zone 4 expanded into electrical and automation installs, and built a leadership team to scale operations. Strategic acquisitions, training investments, and a larger talent pool positioned Zone 4 as a top-tier national installation partner.
